Q: When is the best time to book a holiday photo session in New Braunfels?
A: The ideal time to book is late fall (Late October - December) when the weather and light is nice, and you don't have to worry about sweating like crazy! My calendar for New Braunfels holiday family photos fills up very quickly, especially on weekend dates and those near the Golden Hour (the hour before sunset). Booking early ensures you secure your desired date and have your final edited images in plenty of time for Christmas card printing and mailing before the holidays!
Q: What should we wear for our New Braunfels family photos?
A: I recommend coordinating, not matching! For a festive look, try a palette of 3-4 complementary colors. Popular holiday family photo outfits include deep tones (like burgundy, emerald green, and navy) or cozy neutrals (cream, tan, and soft gray). Consider bringing layers (jackets, scarves, sweaters) for texture and to account for this crazy, unpredictable Central Texas weather.
Q: What locations do you offer for photo shoots?
A: I live in New Braunfels and love using local spots for backdrops, as there are plenty of awesome locations to pick from! I regularly schedule sessions at spots such as Landa Park (great natural spot with cypress trees, lake & river views, and nice bridges), the charming architecture of the Gruene Historic District, Fischer Park (more natural beauty with city views, large trees, grassy hills), and various scenic spots along the Comal and Guadalupe Rivers. I am also happy to schedule shoots in San Antonio, as some of my favorite spots include Hemisfair Park, The Pearl, Brackenridge Park, Walker Ranch, and more. We will discuss location options based on your family's style and desired holiday look when you book.
Q: How long does a typical holiday family photo session last?
A: Standard Holiday Family Photo Sessions are typically 45 minutes long. Mini sessions are about 20 minutes.
Q: When will we receive our final edited images?
A: You will receive your fully edited, high-resolution digital images within 2-5 days of your session, plenty of time to get your holiday cards printed and delivered!
